Origin of GeekAid

GeekAid started in a backyard 6 years ago.  Inspired by a group of local technology business owners and friends who held a private party in 2005, unofficially dubbed "GeekAid", the cause then was simply to spoof the plight of computer geeks and the only beneficiaries of the revelry were the attendees.  Afterwards, in a rare and unexplained moment of serious reflection, the founding "Geeks" decided to take the GeekAid event to the next level in order to make a true difference for the West Michigan Community in 2006, becoming a 501 (c) (3).

GeekAid is 100% volunteer driven.  Today, GeekAid is all about bringing together individuals and organizations that are passionate about art and technology, and understand that we must encourage and foster that passion whenever the opportunity arises.  We also feel strongly that you should have fun doing it!

Purpose of GeekAid

GeekAid provides scholarships to student throughout West Michigan who will be furthering their education in a technology or art related field. 

What is the GeekAid Music & Art Festival?

The GeekAid Music & Art Festival is a day long event, with great local bands, beer tent, food booths, and art booths.  It is fun for all ages!  It is FREE for the public to attend.
